PROCEDURE FOR NEW MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION

  1. Complete the application form. The form is available in either Serbian or English.
    1. All items marked (*) are compulsory.
    2. 2 CURRENT members must be nominated as sponsors.
    3. One form must be completed per applicant.
    4. Form must be signed and dated.
  2. Submit the application form.
    1. The form may be submitted by:-

      i Post to the church’s address.

      ii Hand to the church warden (tutor) during church services.

      iii Hand to the priest or any other committee member.

       

  1. WITH the application form also submit payment for membership fees. Fees are:-
    1. $25 for standard membership.
    2. $12.50 for pensioners.
    3. Payment must be by cheque or money order if application is made by post. Please make the cheque or money order payable to “Serbian Orthodox Church St Nicholas”.
    4. Payment can be by cash if made directly at church, given directly to the priest or to a committee member.
  2. Upon receiving your application, it will be considered at the next committee meeting (meetings are held at the start of each month).
  3. You will receive notification of the result of your application by mail.
  4. In the event that you application is rejected, the membership fee paid will also be refunded to you by cheque.

 NOTES:

  1. The membership year is from November 1st for 12 months.
  2. To be a member within the current membership year, the application must be received no later than September 30th of the current membership year.
  3. The full membership fee is required for the year regardless of when the application is received.
  4. Membership fees are per person per membership year.
  5. A person cannot be a member of more than one church community at a time.
  6. It is expected that members make every possible effort to attend the annual general meeting either in person or via a proxy.

 

PROCEDURE FOR MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL

  1. Membership fees must be paid by September 30th. Fees are:-
    1. $25 for standard membership.
    2. $12.50 for pensioners.
    3. Payment can be by cash if made directly at church to the church warden (tutor).
    4. Payment must be by cheque or money order if paying by post. Please make the cheque or money order payable to “Serbian Orthodox Church St Nicholas”.
    5. Regardless of payment method, full name AND address MUST be provided to ensure that a proper receipt can be issued.

Without a receipt issued your membership renewal will not be valid.
